The Santa Mónica City project's treatment plant is of the anaerobic percolating filter type.
It has a total capacity to treat wastewater from 4,000 homes, corresponding to 20,000 people when its entire installation is completed.
The plant will be constructed in 22 parallel modules. Each module features two lines, calculated for 175 houses, meaning 875 inhabitants in total.
No electric motors are needed, as it benefits from the slope to allow the wastewater to enter the plant and leave treated, always by gravity.
